SOCIAL media star, Patricia Jack, says she was virtually naked when she was savagely assaulted by another social media personality, “Detective Kedha,” at her home on Friday. Tafadzwa Chidawa, popularly known as Detective Kedha, was arrested on Tuesday.
He appeared in court in Epworth yesterday charged with assault. He was remanded to June 14 for trial commencement.“On the 29th of May at around 2300hrs, Tafadzwa Chidawa unlawfully and intentionally committed an assault on Patricia Jack by punching her all over the body with fists and open hands intending to cause Patrician Jack harm or realising that there is a real risk or possibility that bodily harm may occur,” read the court papers.
Detective Kedha was accused of invading Patricia’s house in Craneborne and teaming up with four other men, and a police officer, who was only identified as Sergeant Chakanetsa.Earlier, Patricia had told H-Metro she was virtually naked when the savage assault took place. “Kedha broke into my house around midnight, teamed up with four other men and another person who claimed to be a police detective,” said Patricia.“I am yet to know from the Commissioner General of Police if they are engaging this ex-cop to mislead their police officers into such acts.
“Kedha calls himself a private investigator and he came looking for a person named Edwin. “They were told through the intercom that there was no one by that name who resides at the house.“Kedha asked about the number of people who were staying at my house, but I refused to tell them.” She added:“Kedha and Sgt Chakanetsa jumped over the pre-cast wall and entered the yard. “They started banging the kitchen door and I ordered my maid to open the door after realising that there was a police officer. “Kedha went straight into the house looking for me and found me half dressed.
“He started assaulting me with fists and open hands, accusing me of cyber bullying.“He handcuffed me and Sgt Chakanetsa told me that I was under arrest and they took me to Mkushi Training Depot.” Kedha was arrested and taken to Braeside Police Station where he was detained. Kedha, along with his five accomplices, have a pending case before the courts of law. An ex-police officer, Kedha has been running a private investigation company.
